Please read these Terms before using Boba. By using the app, you agree to be bound by them.
1. Definitions
App means the mobile application titled "Boba". Company, we, us, or our means Doses AI, the maker of Boba. You means the individual using the app.
2. Agreement
By accessing or using Boba, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and the Boba Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the app.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Boba. If you are between 13 and 17, you should have a parent or legal guardian's permission to use the app.
4. Health and nutrition disclaimer
Boba does not provide medical advice, nutritional counselling, or professional health services. All calorie estimates, NOVA grades, and food identifications are automated approximations and may be incomplete or inaccurate.
- The app is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
- Calorie and nutrition estimates are approximations only.
- You should consult a licensed professional before making dietary or medical decisions based on the app.
- We are not liable for inaccuracies in calorie counts or food identification.
5. Pricing and paid access
Boba may be offered as a free, paid, or promotional app depending on the storefront, region, and campaign. Any price will be shown by the App Store before download. Boba does not currently include subscriptions, in-app purchases, ads, accounts, or paid cloud services. Future major on-device model upgrades may be offered as optional paid upgrades, and any paid features will be clearly marked before purchase.
6. Your content
You retain ownership of any photos, food entries, and personal data you input into the app. Because all that content stays on your device, we do not have access to it, we do not claim a license to it, and we do not analyse, copy, or use your content for any purpose, including AI training.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app.
- Circumvent any security mechanism in the app or the operating system.
- Use the app in any way that violates applicable law.
- Use Boba to make medical decisions without consulting a qualified professional.
8. Intellectual property
The app, including its design, code, on-device AI models, and branding, is owned by the Company or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or sublicense any part of the app.
9. "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE"
The app is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of your use of the app shall not exceed one hundred US dollars (USD $100). We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of profits or data.
11. Termination
You can stop using Boba at any time by deleting the app from your device. We may suspend or terminate access to the app if you violate these Terms.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced inside the app. Continued use after an update means you accept the new Terms.
